Our goal at KICS Links© is to provide you with the
resources to gain the knowledge to
make decisions for yourself that will let you succeed in your
dream. We will not be giving you a list of 'top tips &
tricks', but we will be guiding you to the
internet and non-internet resources that we have found to be most
helpful to us in starting and growing our home based business.
Please come back and visit us often as we will be adding to our
questions and answer resources as we ourselves are faced with new
questions to which we must find answers.

We have categorized the programs/vendors on the pages in
the KICS Links Affiliate Program Directory© and the
KICS Links 4 Business Do-It-Yourself Guide 2 Starting Your Business©
into categories based upon how much work being an affiliate of the program/vendor requires.
Within these categories we have placed each program/vendor
into the categories that they themselves, the search engines or the affiliate network/program through whom we joined uses. Keeping the ads in the same
categories when you place your ads will help customers find the ones you place.
In addition to the main category for each program/vendor,
we give you other categories for the program/vendor. Some of the pages contain more than one ad per vendor.
We also show you the variety of ads that are available for
you to use, most vendors offer more than one product, so there may be several categories under which you can place your ads.

Who "we" Are
My name is KI Clough. I have worked in business administration, computer
programming, (yes, I do all of the design and coding
on all of the KICS Links© websites), tax preparation and database administration for over 20 years. I
have a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration with a major in
Accounting. I have prepared taxes professionally for one of the best known
and largest tax preparation company's in the world. I have prepared taxes
for a partnership business of my own, for my late
mother's sole-proprietorship business, her estate, two residential rental
properties she owned and the selling of the two residential rental properties as
well as her own home on contract. I earned the status of Microsoft
Certified Professional - Implementing and Supporting Windows NT Server 4.0 in
07/98.
Sound
impressive? It was September, 2002, I was living in a major metropolitan
area in the mid-west and even with all of my training and experience I
had been
unemployed since December, 2001. The company I was working for sold the division
I was with and permanently discontinued my position.
So why am I telling you all of this? I
had applied to 140+ companies, both large and small, I had had 2 interviews,
and 3 phone calls! When I spoke with a
recruiter at a top information technology consulting firm
and told him how many companies I had applied to, he said that it was not
uncommon to apply to so many companies and still not have a job. I told
him it was very unusual for me. I usually had gotten a new job within two
or three weeks after beginning my search.
Again
you are asking "why am I telling you all of this?" I started a
home based partnership business in 1995, with my husband, making
personalized children's books. It sounded like a sure fire
opportunity. We did not do very well with this business. I did not
know the right questions I needed to ask and have answered, the questions that
would have allowed me to make our business a success. In other
words I DID NOT DO MY HOMEWORK!
I once again
started my own home based business, and this time I want to include you in my
business. I queried one of the major search engines to find links for
'starting a business', the results came back as '1 - 10 of about 3,400,000'. I want to put before you the questions, answers, and resources
we have found that are needed to make educated decisions about starting or
expanding a business of your own.

I say 'Who we Are' because a very dear friend of mine, the Mae in MAES
Links SUPERMALL 4 Family Shopping©, is embarking on this new venture with me.
